IOP Publishing launches e-book programme

IOP aims to 'meet the needs of the research community in a changing publishing environment'.

IOP Publishing - The Institute of Physics publishing division - is launching an e-book publishing programme.

IOP had produced books until 2005, when it sold the list to focus on journal publishing. The move forms part of a strategy to develop additional content channels for authors and readers.

The 'born digital' content will be free of legacy issues.
