Google 'tax talks' in France

Google and the French government are said to be in discussions about the search engine's tax affairs in France.


According to Reuters, French tax authorities are in talks with Google about the company's tax affairs in France.  The French tax authorities have been investigating the company since June of 2011.

The key issue at stake is said to be whether Google should continue to charge French advertisers via its Dublin headquarters meaning less tax is paid in France.
