Google redesigns Gmail inbox

Google has revamped Gmail by introducing a tabbed inbox feature.


The redesign, which is to be rolled out gradually organises incoming email into self-selected categories to help users prioritise incoming mail.  The inbox can be customised so users can ensure certain senders always appear under a chosen tab. 

Android mobile users they will see their chosen 'primary' emails, but will also be able to swipe to their other tabs.
