Google offered out of court fine in Belgium

Google has been offered an out of court settlement in Belgium after Street View cars 'breached data privacy'.


Federal prosecutors in Belgium state that Google breached national data privacy laws when its Street View cars captured wireless data.

Google has been offered three months to accept an out of court fine set at 150,000 euros before court proceedings, which might result in a higher fine, take place.
