Google and the right to be forgotten

First cases in English court scheduled.

Two anonymous plaintiffs are calling on the search engine to remove links to information about spent convictions.

The cases are not related, but both focus on ‘non-celebrity’ individuals who claim wide-ranging impacts on their personal and business lives because of the availability of information about their previous convictions.

The right to be forgotten ruling dates back to 2014 and is valid in the EU only.
