CNIL, France’s privacy watchdog, has fined Google for violating the French Data Protection Act.
The case concerns Google’s updated privacy policy which consolidated user profiles and data from a range of Google products including YouTube, and for not obtaining consent for cookie storage.
The case has been ongoing for some time.
