Facebook privacy in Germany

German consumer group has given Facebook a deadline of 4 September to make changes to its App Center.


The German consumer group VZBV is arguing that the Facebook App Center violates German law by gathering personal information without consent.  The group deems this assumption of consent as a violation of the country's Telemedia Act.

Facebook's facial recognition technology is also being challenged in Germany.
