Evidence-based resources for vets

Academics at The UK's University of Nottingham have launched two free internet resources for vets.

Scientists from the Centre for Evidence-based Veterinary Medicine (CEVM) at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science have launched two new evidence-based products for vets.

Bestbetsforvets shares summaries of the evidence found relating to specific clinical questions posed by those in the veterinary profession.  The results are structured in a very simple format.  Users can simply read the bottom line for quick answers or the whole entry which includes the search terms used and the appraisal of the papers found.  The contents have been developed by the CEVM team, which undertook structured literature searches to find the evidence.

The second resource, VetSRev, is a freely accessible online database of citations for systematic reviews of relevance to veterinary medicine and science.
