Discovering dissertations: ProQuest collaborating to improve access

Move aims to improve discoverability of and access to content.

ProQuest, Elsevier and others are teaming up to improve the ease of access to dissertations.

ProQuest’s massive database of graduate works is now being indexed in other research tools, including Elsevier’s Ei Compendex.  The move will open up new routes to discovery for dissertation authors and help researchers with their literature searches.

The content being indexed is drawn from ProQuest’s Dissertations and Theses Global which includes over a quarter of a billion pages.
