'Digging into Data' winners announced

Winning teams will research how computational techniques used in sciences can be transferred to social sciences and humanities.


The winning teams in an international competition to promote innovative social science and humanities research have been announced.

The competition is funded by eight international research organisations, including JISC, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) from the UK.

The winning teams are made up of scholars, scientists, librarians and archivists from leading universities around the world.  The teams will receive grants that will help them investigate how computational techniques can be applied to change humanities and social sciences research.
