British suffrage collection goes online

A selection of material covering British women's fight for the vote has been made available online.

The digitised material represents part of the vast collections held by the Women's Library (founded in 1926).  The collection, which includes 60,000 books and pamphlets and 5000 museum items, is one of 20 chosen to represent the heritage of the UK on the UNESCO UK Memory of the World Register.

The collection has been made available through the Visual Arts Data Service (VADS).
