Bodleian Libraries and the next generation archivist

Funding support of £280,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to help develop skills.

The Bodleian Libraries (Oxford, UK) have received partial funding for a programme to support the development of six digital archivists.

The work-based training programme will run from 2014-2019 and will focus on the skills required to manage and deliver digital archive services.

One aim of the project is to attract new people into the profession, in particular those with a science or technology background.
