Amazon e-lending library hits Europe

Amazon is to launch its Kindle Owners' Lending Library in France, Germany and the UK.

The service offers Amazon Prime customers access to over 200,000 e-books, many in local languages, and one free download per month.

The service has been available in the US for a year.
