The Amazon Appstore can be accessed on the Kindle Fire, an Android phone or tablet and via any computer.
The number of apps downloaded from Amazon's Appstore has grown by over 500% in the last year.
The company has also announced the beta launch of its new free A/B testing capability for Kindle Fire developers. This A/B testing enables developers to test and adjust their apps and focus on differentiating their offerings and modifying and improving their apps.
