Archivist discovers 'lost poem' by Douglas Adams

Work by author of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy discovered in school cupboard.

The poem, which was written by Douglas Adams when he was 17, was among papers discovered at Brentwood School by archivist, Stacey Harmer.

Pupils at the school were required to write a poem about a candle in order to join the school’s literary society ‘Candlesticks’.  The full poem is reproduced in The Guardian.
